1st Bite of Cereal!

Sorry it took so long to get these up. Layla has been doing great with her cereal she is definitely a good eater. We have tried some squash this week and she is not to sure about that. Today she decided to put a Cheerio in her mouth and just like her sister she gagged on it for awhile.

Maggie is getting over a stomach flu so it was been a long couple of days for her but I think we are over it and hoping that Layla will not get it.

Monday we have our 1st trip to our Doctor I was really looking forward to seeing how much weight Maggie had gained. This summer she seemed as if she has grown so much, but I think we now lost a few pounds. Layla has had no trouble with weight although she seems to keep getting longer and not much thicker.

We hired a new babysitter for a couple of hours a week so I can get work done on Leotard Crazy and so far it has been great! Maggie really seems to like her of course Layla has given her a hard time, but she is still getting used to someone else feeding her. Hopefully she will be totally on the bottle by next month! She is pickier than Maggie was since she has hardly gotten bottles over the last 6 months.

I think that catches everyone up on what we have been up to- we will get some new pictures outside as the leaves change. I am so happy to see that again!

We had a great time today Celebrating Jamie, Lucie and Drew’s Birthday!! Maggie got to play at the park and then eat cake and pizza with her friends, and Layla of course just hung out. We had such a great time- Thank you Kelly and Luanne!

Layla is growing so much and starting to laugh a lot more, still not much rolling around though. She doesn’t have much of an interest in playing on the floor unless of course Maggie and I are down there with her. She is a new phase of separation anxiety- if you leave the room she starts screaming. Its funny because if she is in the stroller at the park where she can’t see anyone she is fine.

Maggie starts gymnastics tomorrow!! Her and her friend Addyson will be doing class together, and I’m not sure if Mommy or Daddy will get to do it with her. I think I’m gonna be teaching some classes on Thur. mornings but I’m not sure what time yet- I guess I’ll find out tomorrow. I’m excited to get back in the gym.

Maggie wanted to share pictures of all of her new friends. Our Playgroup had a Christmas in August celebration last week and I tried to get some pictures but of course that was tough since these guys don’t sit still long enough for a picture. We have been having a great time and meeting lots of new friends. I would just like to thank all the moms we have met for making our transition to WI so much easier. You guys are an awesome group of woman! I will start bringing the camera to more of our events. I’m sorry I didn’t add names to the pictures but I didn’t want to spell anyones name wrong, I will add them in later.

Here are some pictures I took of Layla back in June and I’m not sure why I never put them on. But going through our pictures I found them and couldn’t resist especially the one with her tongue sticking out. She is getting so big- she now rolls over both ways when she feels like it. And will laugh but definitely makes you work for it.

The excitement of the big girl bed has worn off for Maggie, so at least once a night she makes a trip into our room- I’m still trying to figure out if she is really awake. During the week she sleeps till around 8, but for some reason on the weekends she comes in at 6! It is definitely what we deserve she spoiled us in the old house sleeping in till 10 some weekends. She is not a big fan of Thunder and Lightning either, we know she is coming in once that starts. Other than that she is doing great. We have been lucky enough to find a great playgroup that we have been enjoying. It is great for all of us! Gymnastics starts up again for her in a couple of weeks and hopefully some music classes- we’ll see.

Since I was told this week that Maggie’s bed is no longer new I thought it was about time to add some pictures. these are just from us hanging out outside in the yard. You can see the garden Justin planted in the background.

I was really trying to get a picture of both girls together, but as you can see I think all I really did was piss Layla off. Someday we will get a nice one of girls together.

Layla got a new chair today and as you can see Loved being able to sit up and see everything around her.

Life here has been a little crazy, Justin has been working a lot and Leotard Crazy has been really busy. I have not been able to get pictures on the computer with all the orders. And then Maggie and I have been trying to get out as much as we can in the afternoon. going to parks and on walks getting out to meet new people.

Last week Gma, Gpa, Aunt Heidi, and Andrew came up to go to the Beach and the kids loved it. Maggie wasn’t sure what to think of the rocks but quickly got used to it and played in the water the whole time we were there. Gma and Gpa took pictures so hopefully we will get some of those to put on.

I’ve just finished adding the 4th of July pictures and then just some new ones of the girls around the house. You can see Maggie really likes to help with Bathtime, I’m not too sure if Layla was enjoying as much as Maggie was. They are both getting so big!!
